Every year the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets across the country have a national sailing regatta hosted at the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario. Before competing at the final event in Kingston, cadets from every region must qualify at the regional regatta to move forward. This year the regional event for British Columbia is hosted at the “South Vancouver Island Cadet Nautical Training Site” in Esquimalt Harbour, and out of the 40 sailors that compete, only 20 can qualify in the Provincial Qualifier so that they may participate in the National Qualifier next spring, and finally the best 8 sailors … Read more..

Fat and Lazy: Analysis of Casey Neitstat’s daily routine

I like the way he describes most people/Snapchat at 0:36

“You could build a city with all the free time people spend sitting around being bored, sending me snaps, of themselves, sitting around, being bored.”

Important to keep in mind that his definition of “work” is anything that is contributing to the creative process. Besides sitting at a desk working, there is also: travelling, having deep productive conversations with other people, team meetings, and all the while, Casey is also filming.

The Smokey Saxophone

Edward “Sonny” Stitt, was an American jazz performer who rose to fame playing the tenor saxophone (after having played the alto saxophone early in his career) from 1945 to his death in 1982. He was one of the most documented artists of his generation having recorded over a hundred albums. Sonny’s music associated him with the biggest names in jazz such as Charlie Parker, Gene Ammons, and Miles Davis. Herman Leonard’s 1953 portrait of Sonny Stitt playing the saxophone is a graphic representation and immortalization of the passion, emotion and soul Sonny poured into his music.

Analysis of Germany and Canada’s 1981 Taxation Agreement

The following is a report I worked on for a school project. Its purpose was to answer questions about exporting goods to Germany from Canada.

Exporting and Tax Concerns When Exporting Goods from Canada to Germany

To avoid double taxation on Income and “Certain Other Taxes”, Canada and Germany signed an agreement to avoid double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion on July 17th 1981. It was replaced by a new updated agreement on March 28, 2002 after many changes in German political economics, mainly the reunification of East and West Germany in 1990 and establishment of the … Read more..
